The hit 90's film 'Clueless'(1995) is coming to London and it's going to be a musical! Could it get anymore iconic?
Clueless is a teenage comedy film that is about the popular, fabulous, fashionista Cher and it follows her making her way through high school. The trials and tribulations of being a teenage girl.. well a wealthy and privillaged teenage girl at a high school in Beverly Hills. Cher has good intentions and tries to match make and enhance her school friends lives by giving them her advice. Little does she know giving others her secrets to being the unique and authentic girl she is will effect her place in the schools hierarchy. The plot line of the film is inspired by the Jane Austin Novel 'Emma' (1815).
This film is a 90's classic and the film writer/director Emma Heckering's book based on the film is directed by Rachel Kavanaugh for the London theatre. The director has also directed many other fantastic shows, such as: The Great British Bake Off Musical at the Nöel Coward Theatre (2023) and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers at The Open Air Theatre Regent's Park (2015) which got a nomination for 'Best Musical Revival' Olivier in 2016. This fantastic director is bringing Beverly Hills to Trafalgar Theatre 15th Febuary 2025 - 14th June 2025.
On Monday this week (09/09/2024) an audience were lucky enough to get a sneak peak into the show! As they did a preview. They apparently performed a selection of the songs in the show.
