Hello lovely readers! Let's talk about a new section on the blog and share some positivity.

I've been reviewing theatre for a year now! My first review was March 10th last year and that is insane! Moving to London has been a blessing for me and I can't say the journey has been perfect all the time, it for sure has changed me for good... See what I did there? This space has allowed me to be creative, try new things and meet so many amazing people who share a love for theatre.

I am beyond grateful for the opportunities and experiences it's given me. Also, for everyone who has supported and connected with me! However, most of all I am grateful that theatre has been a safe haven for me to take a break from my worries, fears, feelings and give me an hour or two to focus on art. You have no idea how helpful this has been for my mental health, and I hope that you theatre lovers have also found it's been great for your mental health.

Theatre is not something that is on everyone's doorstep and ticket prices cost an arm, a leg and maybe even a kidney too sometimes. It also is crowded, loud and sometimes shows can be a little overwhelming emotionally at times. I wanted to introduce a new category to my blog, 'Tab's Mental Health Corner', the plan is for me to talk about other experiences that help improve mental health and they may be theatre related or not at all... Don't worry they will be stage related somehow, because let's be honest anything can be made into theatre! There will be a variety of things, whether it's things at home, getting outdoors, things you can do with friends and things you can do solo. Whether it's social or a little quieter.

Mental health is something that has it's highs and lows. We have our own coping mechanisms and experience these difficult times. It's a journey that's different for everyone. This new area is a place to get to know me a bit more, share experiences and recommending new things to help enhance positivity. Over these last few months I've been having a low in my mental health and it's so easy to hide away, but that's not the best answer all the time. It's also to easy to hide behind the image you create in real life and social media. Things aren't always good and that's ok!

Basically, it's going to be like an online journal of positivity, gratitude and encouraging trying new things. The aim is for me to be more open, honest and kind to myself, I hope that it encourages and uplifts readers! I just want it to be a space where we can help and motivate each other. All of you wonderful readers, if you have any ideas or thoughts press the little 'Contact Tab' button and let's connect!

So... I hope you're ready for more content on Tab in The City and if you read this all make sure to do something today to make someone smile.

A little special mention to my cat Tibbles, he's the inspiration for my logo. I don't live with him in London, he's my cat at home. He makes me smile and whenever I'm down I facetime him to cheer me up or go home to see him. Pets are the best for making those lonely and negative feelings melt away a little. He's for sure an orange cat and does some very crazy things.

I find singing and exercise help. Don't worry, plenty of us also have our struggles and you are not alone. Congrats on the blog and IG reviews, I always enjoy them. Peter
